Hawks Are Set for Another Match With Lefties

After yesterday's big win, Edmonton looks to keep momentum going

One night after setting a new West Coast League single-game attendance record, the Edmonton Riverhawks will be back on REMAX Field for the second of a three game set with the Port Angeles Lefties.
The Riverhawks sent over 9200 fans home happy on Canada Day after witnessing a 6-3 victory. Edmonton pounded out eight hits while committing one error. They scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and added singles in the fourth, sixth and eighth innings to improve their record to 11-3.
The Lefties got two runs in the ninth and one in the sixth as they fell to 10-15.
#55 Carson Latimer started and got the victory. He pitched six innings of two hit ball while surrendering one run, walking two and striking out one. He is 1-0 on the season. #14 Tate Dearing came on in the ninth inning and got his fourth save of 2025. #19 Kole Acker picked up the loss. He started for the Lefties and lasted only two thirds of an inning as he gave up three runs on two hits and walked four. He is 0-1 on the year.
Riverhawks catcher #32 Jason Green went 1 for 5 with three runs batted in. #13 Grant Yzermans was 2 for 5 with two runs scored. #36 Mitchell Middlemiss was 2 for 4.
Port Angeles’ 16 Jeremy Giesegh was 2 for 4. #3 Ryan Rodriquez was 1 for 1 with a run batted in.
