Away series includes make up game for previous rainout

The Edmonton Riverhawks are set to take on their very first opponents of 2026 once again, as they travel to Wenatchee to open up their second road trip this season. In that opening series, the two teams split with one game a piece, before their third game was postponed due to a rainout.
The four game bout runs on:
June 16th at 7:35pm MT
June 17th (*TWO GAMES*) at 4:30pm MT and 7:35pm MT
June 18th at 7:35pm MT
*The make up game for the rainout on May 31st will take place on June 17th at 4:30pm MT. Each game will be 7 innings each.*
The Riverhawks offense has started to find a rhythm, as they’ve posted at least 9 runs a game in their last 3 of 4 contests. Led by slugger #51 Easton Andrews, who continues to be one of the WCL’s most dangerous hitters. Entering the road trip, Andrews leads the league in RBI’s with 23 and carries the 3rd best batting average at .404. The Hawks look to carry their offensive momentum against an AppleSox pitching staff who had allowed 16 runs to the Nanaimo NightOwls in their most previous game on Sunday.
The AppleSox have had an impressive start to their season, leading the North Division with a 10-4 record and being victorious in 7 of their last 10. Wenatchee’s offense have also been hot to open this season, with #6 Kainoa Santiago, #8 Nikko Paoletto, and #20 Joseph Coupland all claiming 3 of the 5 spots for top batting average in the WCL so far.
With two of the hottest offenses in the WCL coming head to head for a mid week matchup, a highly offensive series should be inevitable. For your Riverhawks, this road trip becomes a key point in the season to continue to climb in the North Division standings. For the AppleSox, they look to maintain a tight lead in the North Division.
