The Riverhawks get ready for a weekend set in Nanaimo

NANAIMO, BC---The Edmonton Riverhawks will put the capper of their first road trip of the 2026 West Coast League season on Friday night. The Riverhawks will put their 2-3 record on the line as they pay a visit to the NightOwls in Nanaimo. The teams have a 7:35 PM MDT opening pitch at Serauxmen Stadium.
The NightOwls sport a 4-2 record after sweeping the Kelowna Falcons at home. This included a 10-9 victory on Thursday night.
The Riverhawks dropped two of three in Victoria. The final game of the series was a Thursday afternoon affair which saw the host HarbourCats come away with a 6-2 victory.
These teams met nine times in 2025 with Edmonton winning 5-4. All time, the Riverhawks hold a 16-14 advantage over Nanaimo.
The NightOwls and Riverhawks will tangle Saturday at 7:35 PM MDT and Sunday at 2:05 PM MDT. You can watch all three of the weekend games free on West Coast League TV: https://wcleague.watch.pixellot.tv/
Nanaimo will make their way to RE/MAX Field for a three-game set July 7-9th.
After the series this weekend, the Riverhawks will return home to kick off a six game home stand Tuesday, June 9th when the HarbourCats make a visit to RE/MAX Field for a 7:05 PM MDT encounter.
