Hawks unable to fight back after dropping lead in the 6th

With playoff implications written all over the second last regular season game of 2026, theRiverhawks saw the script flipped on them from last night's late rally victory. In tonight's matchup, it was Bells strong rally in the 6th inning that was the deciding factor in this one. With the loss tonight, the Riverhawks lose their first game against the Bells in 2026, as all 4 matchups had gone in favour of the Riverhawks until tonight.

#36 Mitchell Middlemiss sparked the Riverhawks offense early, cranking a 353 foot 3 run bombin the 3rd to jump the Riverhawks out to a 3-0 advantage. #36 Mitchell Middlemiss would finish the night 2/4 with 3 RBI’s, upping his 2026 total to 26. After the Bells answered with a quick run of their own in the bottom of the 3rd, both teams would remain scoreless for the next 3. That would change in the 6th, as the Bells sparked a 3 run rally to take a 4-3 lead, which would carry out to be the final result.

Game Recap

After a quiet start for both ball clubs, #36 Mitchell Middlemiss would start the scoring in the 3rd inning with a BANG. The Riverhawks right fielder cranks his 4th home run of the summer, a 3run shot sailing 354 feet over the right field wall to jump the Riverhawks out to an early 3-0 lead.

With the bases loaded, the Bells would bounce back in the very next inning, as #8 Noah Cassie would hit a fielder's choice, getting the Bells on the board to make it 3-1.

The 6th would see the Bells flip the script on the Riverhawks, #8 Noah Cassie would hit an RBIsingle to bring #21 Bo Shinkle. Then, with the bases loaded, #1 Rominic Quiban would take a walk to tie the game at 3, then a wild pitch the very next at bat would give the Bells the lead at4-3.

Both teams would remain scoreless for the final 3 innings, setting up a huge final regular season game tomorrow, where the Riverhawks must win to have a chance at the 2026 post season.
