The Edmonton Riverhawks have teamed up with the Centre For Autism Services Alberta (CFASA) to help create a more inclusive and accessible game day experience for all fans!
At the Riverhawks, we pride ourselves on having a fan first, fun first mentality which has led us to cherish partnerships like these that allow us to give all types of fans the experiences they hope for.

Sensory Kits
As an organization we have introduced Sensory Kits to our ballpark for our fans to rent out for the duration of games. We worked closely with CFASA to create these kits, to ensure that they contain the tools and resources our fans need to succeed in our game day environment.
Sensory Kits are available for rent at the Hawk Central booth located near the upstairs main concession. In order to rent the kit, we ask you to leave a personal item in exchange for the sensory kit, which we will return to you after the game in exchange for the kit back.
These kits are designed for fans who are autistic, neurodivergent, or who may benefit from sensory support during their visit to the ballpark. To help ensure these resources remain available for those who need them, we ask that sensory kits be checked out only by individuals who would benefit from the support provided.
What's included?
Each sensory kit includes earplugs (Adult and kids sizes), sunglasses, a rain poncho, sensory items such as pop-its, worry stones, and squeeze objects, along with a book! We encourage fans to bring their own resources as well if they have preferences.
Staff Training
CFASA led our game day staff through an amazing training session prior to the season and shared expertise on how to help fans who need the extra support on game days. An important part of this training was centered around helping fans who are feeling overwhelmed and identifying what they need at that moment.
If you’re needing the extra support on game day, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Ushers along the hawk walk who wear bright yellow! They will be able to take you to a quiet location and assist you.
