Minor Ball Opportunities

We obviously love our baseball and softball! And we love seeing people of all ages play these great games!!

Every season we welcome minor league baseball and softball organizations to the RE/MAX Field for a wonderful experience. Not only do we give them unbelievable game day offers, they'll see some of their players be our ball boys and ball girls; plus one of their coaches can be an Honourary Riverhawks Coach for the game. All the people have a ton of fun and they get to promote their organizations in the process.

It's a wonderful way to increase the awareness of baseball opportunities in the area and also promote active lifestyles.

Minor Baseball Game Day Partner

The Riverhawks “Minor Baseball Game Day Partner” program gives the opportunity for Edmonton area minor baseball players to experience exciting summer collegiate baseball in the finest baseball stadium in Western Canada. One minor baseball team, specific age levels or entire minor baseball organizations can request to be part of the Riverhawks “Minor Baseball Game Day Partner” program including:

• A complimentary game ticket to one Riverhawks home game will be offered to all baseball players on one team, age level or throughout an entire baseball organization.
• Students will be encouraged to sit in the “Minor Baseball Zone”, located in the left field bleacher section of RE/MAX Field.
• A guest coach can be selected by the organization to spend the game in the Riverhawks dugout getting a first-hand view of WCL baseball
• Four (4) male/female players can be selected by the organization to enjoy the game working as team bat boys/girls for both WCL teams
• Specific player focused promotions and give-aways will be offered throughout the game
• The minor baseball organization’s attendance will be announced over the Riverhawks PA system during the game – “Riverhawks Baseball Game Day Partner of the Game”
• After the Riverhawks game, players, coaches and their families will be welcomed to come down to the field and enjoy the atmosphere, run the bases and collect player autographs
• If interested, minor baseball organizations can participate in a Riverhawks fundraising program where each team or the entire organization can raise money by buying adult game tickets for $10 and reselling
  them to interested parents at $15 (Regular box office price is $21). There is no obligation whatsoever for this fundraising as part of the “Minor Baseball Game Day Partner” Program.
  

Cost

• Complimentary, however only 1500 tickets are available for each of the 27 home Riverhawks games and they will be given out on a first come first served basis (up to 40,500 tickets provided)
• Teams will have the option of coordinating group transportation and coach supervision if interested

Riverhawks Minor Baseball Day

The Edmonton Riverhawks will be offering a Minor Baseball Day, where a group of minor baseball organization teams can come down and participate in a supervised baseball program. The program will involve instruction regarding the proper techniques of throwing, catching, hitting and running. Three existing Riverhawks or Collegiate Hawks coaches and/or players will supervise the 2 hour morning program between 9:30am and 11:30am. Full-day options are available during some weekends.

Schedule

Morning and full day options are available from mid April until the end of May 2024, as well as during the Riverhawks baseball season in June and July 2024. The program will be scheduled between 9:30am and 11:30am for morning programs and between 9:30am and 11:30am and 12:30pm to 3:00pm for full-day sessions.

Cost

$500 for a morning program or $900 for a full day program that includes instructor fees and field rental. Each participant will receive a complimentary student ticket to an upcoming Edmonton Riverhawks West Coast League home game.

Minor Baseball Day Application

RE/MAX Field Rental

Minor baseball organizations will have the opportunity to rent RE/MAX Field when available, without the requirement for supplied instruction and supervision. Existing coaches will have the opportunity to run their practices at the stadium.

Schedule: Morning and full day options are available from mid April until the end of June 2024. The program will be scheduled from 9:30am to 12pm for morning programs and from 9:30am to 3:00pm for full-day sessions.

Cost: $300 for a morning program or $700 for a full day program that covers field rental and facility security. Each participant will receive a complimentary student ticket to an upcoming Edmonton Riverhawks West Coast League home game. Multi-day rental discounts are available.

RE/MAX Field Rental Application

RE/MAX Field Jamboree

Minor baseball organizations will have the opportunity to rent RE/MAX Field for a number of hours when available, without the requirement for supplied instruction and supervision. Organizations can run clinics, skill stations, food and beverage areas, etc to promote their organization and host a special event for their families and players.

Schedule: Three hour Jamborees are available in the morning, afternoon or evening, as the schedule allows. Entrance security and janitorial services will be provided

Cost

$500 for a 3 hour Jamboree that covers field rental and entrance security.
