Four Riverhawks players have been selected as 2026 West Coast League All-Stars!
The game, which kicks off tonight in Victoria, British Columbia, brings together the league's top players from 16 teams across Canada and the west coast of the United States.
Among that group are two Riverhawks pitchers and two position players, all of whom have made their mark this summer in Edmonton.
Right-handed pitcher Carter Fink, out of Division 1 program Niagara University, will step up on the mound after a stint with the Hawks that includes 2 wins, while averaging 7 strikeouts per game and only allowing one walk this season!
Joining him on the mound is David Shepphard, an Arizona native who plays at Utah Tech University. Shepphard has won four of his five starts this summer and currently ranks among the league leaders with 35 strikeouts.
Representing the Riverhawks in the infield is Easton Andrews. The Fort Worth, Texas native has delivered several explosive performances this season, highlighted by a road game in which he collected three hits, seven RBIs, and a home run! Andrews remains among the West Coast League leaders with 29 RBIs in just 25 games played.
At shortstop is second-year Riverhawk Shiryu Sato. Sato has scored 23 runs this season while batting .297, continuing to be one of Edmonton's most reliable contributors.On top of a stellar summer ball season, the Japanese native will also be making a huge jump and playing at the University of Hawaii this upcoming fall!

After the all-star break , the Riverhawks return home for our final 6 game regular season homestand of the summer!
