We’re doggone happy it's Sunday! Not only are the Edmonton Riverhawks going for their third straight win and a sweep of the Port Angeles Lefties, we get to bring our pooches to the ballpark today! It’s Hawks & Hounds this afternoon with the Edmonton Humane Society (EHS) and we’ve got a lot of fun planned to go along with the sensational baseball we see down at RE/MAX Field. Doors open at noon and the game goes at 1. Here's what else dog owners need to know.

Owners and their dogs get “wag bags,” they’re invited onto the field pre-game to watch some amazing dog agility and try their paw at it and there will be a trick contest with dogs and our mascot, River.

EHS is running the 50-50, we’ll donate $1 from every hotdog sold and you can make your own donation as we try to raise thousands of dollars for this amazing organization that has been around taking care of homeless animals since 1907!

Here are the other important points for dog owners and their pets:

• Dogs must be social and get along with other dogs
• Dogs must be on a leash
• Owners and dogs enter on the east side of RE/MAX Field (follow signage)
• No dogs allowed in food service areas or concourse
• Dog owners are responsible to clean up after their dogs
• Owners and dogs will sit in Section J and the third base silver bleachers
• First 100 owners and dogs receive Edmonton Humane Society “wag bags”
• Designated area for dogs to do their business (please clean up after your dog)
• Water dishes are in the same area
• The Edmonton Humane Society and others will be set up on the concourse handing out samples, information and more
