Edmonton Riverhawk Jonny McGill has been selected as the West Coast League Player of the Week!

The outfielder who attends the University of British Columbia has been red hot for the Hawks. Last week, Jonny went 17 for 28 while driving in seven runs for the club. He has a 10-game hitting streak, which includes a multi-hit performance in each of his last six games.

Scorching hot at the plate to start this 2023 campaign, the rising junior currently leads the WCL with a .483 batting average.

This spring he garnered first-team All-Cascade Collegiate Conference honours after hitting .392 for the UBC Thunderbirds.
