Hawks Begin Last Road Trip of the Season

First time seeing the twinned-record Lefties this year

The Edmonton Riverhawks kick off their final road trip of the season, and they do so by heading to face the Port Angeles Lefties. This is the first time these two teams will match up in the season, but they’ll have another series in Edmonton a week from today. The Lefties are in the exact same place as the Hawks, with both squads entering the penultimate week of play with 12-30 records. In the second half standings the Lefties sit a game behind the Hawks, and both teams would need a miracle run to be able to stay in playoff contention.

The Hawks have come off a hot win with a complete game shutout from #3 Dallin Harrison on Sunday afternoon. The CGSO was enough to earn Harrison WCL Pitcher of the Week honours, making him the second Hawk to be presented with the distinction this season.

The Hawks will be on the road all week, as they head to Wenatchee after the three games in Port Angeles. They’ll be back in Edmonton next Tuesday to see the Lefties again.
