The 2023 season concludes with the Edmonton Riverhawks saluting a cheering home crowd of 5491. The final afternoon’s audience helped the Riverhawks break a West Coast League attendance record, with 104,748 fans coming to RE/MAX Field over 27 games.
While the final game didn’t go the Hawks’ way, it was still a spectacular season with incredible highlights. #10 Jonny McGill finishes the season with a .329 average and 23 RBI, leading the team at bat. #28 Mark Ossanna led the squad with three home runs, and #6 Brett Ott stole 20 bags across the year.
On the pitcher’s mound #33 Halen Knoll led the team across the whole season. Knoll leads the league in innings pitched with 73.2 frames covered. Knoll also was the top strikeout tosses for the Hawks with 52Ks, good for second place in the WCL. #18 Riley Barrett topped the team and came in second in the league with a 1.73 ERA.
While the Hawks finish the year with a 18-36 record, a ton of fantastic memories were made both on the field and in the stands. We thank everyone who came to RE/MAX Field this year, and can’t wait to see you back in 2024!
