July 7-12 Recap!
WHAT A WEEK AT THE BALLPARK, EDMONTON!!
From office workers playing hooky to Star Wars, plunger giveaways, and an unforgettable day with the Stollery Children's Hospital, RE/MAX Field was the place to be!
Nearly 5,000 fans ditched their laptops and cubicles for a 1:00 p.m. ballgame inspired by The Office! We hosted Flonkerton competitions, "team building" in the form of tug-of-war and balloon popping on coworkers' laps, and even handed out our own version of the Dundies... The Hawkies!
On Wednesday we had our annual Turning Singles Into Doubles Date Nigh, and let’s just say we had some very successful matchmaking at the ballpark, and one infamous unsuccessful attempt *click link here.*
On Thursday night we celebrated a certain totally legally distinct Italian plumber and his Peachy Princess with Italian Grand Prix kart races, moustache contests, and a golden plunger giveaway.
By Friday, the Force had officially arrived! One of our biggest fan-favourite theme nights returned with Star Wars Night, as the Riverhawks took the field in custom R2-D2-inspired jerseys. The jerseys went on to raise more than $16,000 through our charity auction in support of the Edmonton Space & Science Foundation.
Mother Nature tried to throw us a curveball midway through the evening, as a torrential downpour rolled through RE/MAX Field. Thanks to the incredible work of our game day staff, and even more incredible patience from our fans, we were able to get the field ready and finish the game before wrapping up the night with another spectacular Firework Friday show.
Saturday gave fans a chance to escape without ever leaving Edmonton during our Euro Summer celebration. For nine innings, RE/MAX Field became the ultimate staycation destination, complete with Tour de France tricycle races, our own Running of the Bulls, and a post-game Euro Summer dance party on the field.
We wrapped up the homestand on Sunday with what has been one of our most meaningful game of the season: Kiddos Crash the Park, presented by Save-On-Foods.
Following the game, hundreds of young fans stayed behind for our annual team autograph session, each receiving a free 2026 team poster to have signed by the players and coaches.
Even more special was welcoming some incredible kids from the Stollery Children's Hospital to completely take over game day. Throughout the afternoon, Stollery kids stepped into some of the biggest roles around the ballpark—joining the coaching staff in the dugout, taking over the PA microphone, hosting on the field, and even spinning the music up in the DJ booth.
We want to send a huge shout out to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, the kids involved, and all of their families for joining us for such a meaningful day at the ballpark!
While this incredible homestand may be over, there's still some more partying left this summer!
The fun kicks back off at the ballpark on Monday, July 20th for our final regular season homestand of the summer! To check out our upcoming promotions and to grab tickets, click here! Don’t miss out on the party in the river valley this summer!!
