Kid the Mascot Joins Riverhawks Fans on Their Trick-or-Treat route!
Edmonton Riverhawks mascot “Kid” got the chance to join superfan Ivy and a group of her close family and friends on their neighbourhood Trick-or-Treat route this Halloween!
Ivy’s mom, Angie, entered the contest on the Riverhawks Instagram account and was “beyond thrilled” when she learned that Kid would be tagging along with her daughter this spooky season!
“My daughter is a huge baseball fan, and we try to attend as many games as possible during the season,” Angie explained. “Her bedroom is covered with Riverhawks cards and autographs!”
Kid spent the evening in the neighbourhood of Millwoods racing his new friends up and down driveways, getting scared by nearly every single Halloween decoration, and giving out a lot of high-fives and hugs!
“Ivy loves the Riverhawks and she loves Kid, so she was just super happy that he was coming,” Ivy’s dad Tim explained. “The kids are having just a great time!”
When asked how big of a Riverhawks fan she is, Ivy simply responded, “the biggest!"
After a successful night of candy collection and gathering enough bags of Doritos to last until next Halloween, Kid is already looking forward to seeing Ivy and her squad of trick-or-treaters back down at the ballpark next summer!
Thanks for letting us tag along, Ivy!
