What to Know Before Bringing Your Pet to the Park!

Bringing pets to the ballpark has been growing in popularity every season and we can’t wait to welcome dogs, cats, and pets of all shapes and sizes to RE/MAX Field on Sunday, June 8th!

Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon with our four-legged fans and our pals from Homes Alive Pets. We’ll have wiener dog races, dancing dogs, the return of the Simba Cam and more! Pets and owners are invited to join us on the field for a pre-game pet parade and first-pitch ceremony!

Plus, we're celebrating our bat dog, Iceman, with the limited edition "Iceman the Dogglehead," bobblehead, presented by Booster Juice. Please note that the Iceman Dogglehead is not a door giveaway. All fans in attendance will have the chance to win a Dogglehead through our random draw.

After the game, pets are once again welcome back on the field to get autographs and lounge on the field. Plus, Homes Alive Pets will be spoiling the first 100 dogs in attendance with extravagant goodie bags filled with toys and treats!

To ensure an enjoyable time for pets, their owners, and all fans at the ballpark, we've put together a set of helpful tips, tricks, and guidelines to keep in mind before bringing your pet to the park

    Stadium Information

    • Dogs and owners will be asked to sit in the bleacher section JJ along the third baseline.
    • Upon arrival, fans with dogs will be directed down the East side of RE/MAX Field to access the bleacher section.
    • Dogs will not be allowed in any food service areas. Only designated dogs will be allowed access to the concourse.
    • There will be designated relief stations and water bowls located along the east side of the stadium, right behind the grandstand bleachers. Please clean up after your pet!

    Owner Information

    • It is the sole responsibility of owners to be in control of their pets while visiting the ballpark.
    • Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
    • Riverhawks staff reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog or to ask any dog to leave the ballpark due to poor behaviour or safety concerns.

    Pets Must Be:

    • Older than 6 months
    • Up-to-date on all vaccinations and in good health
    • Friendly towards other pets and humans
    • Able to handle large crowds, loud noises and extended periods of time of sitting still, and in the heat
    • On a leash at all times and wearing an identification tag.

Paws in the Park will kick off our season-long promotion, the Barking Bleachers, where fans can bring their furry friends to sit in our dog-friendly bleacher section during every Sunday game!

Fans, please note: If you're bringing your pet to Paws in the Park and the Barking Bleachers section, be aware that there will be other dogs and cats in attendance. While our staff and security team will do their best to ensure the safety of all fans and pets, the Edmonton Riverhawks are not responsible for any incidents that may occur during the game. Please be responsible pet owners and ensure that your pet is under control for the entirety of the game.
