Ready to gain real-world experience in the sports entertainment industry, where fun is part of the job?!?!

If you’re an energetic and creative university student studying sports management, marketing, or something related, we want you to join our team for the 2026 season!

The Riverhawks are all about throwing epic parties for our fans and keeping the fun rolling on social media! With nearly 150,000+ fans at our games in 2025 and 45,000 followers across our platforms, we’re looking for a hardworking student to help us take our game day experience to the next level as a Game Day and Events Intern!

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    • Execute Contests: Help manage between-inning contests both in the stands and on the field, including setup, takedown, and execution. Assist with fan giveaways, prizes, and maintaining props for in-game entertainment.
    • Interact with Fans: Coordinate contestants for between-inning contests and interact with fans throughout the game in a positive and respectful manner.
    • Coordinate Pre-Game and Post-Game Activities: Including ceremonies, first pitches, post-game dance parties, fireworks, and more.
    • Creative Input: Join the brainstorming sessions and help shape fresh ideas to take our theme nights and promotions to the next level in 2026!
    • Bring the ENERGY to the ballpark: Get fans of all ages pumped up with your lively attitude, leading cheers, and joining in on our in-game antics when called upon.
    • Community Events: Attend community appearances with players, mascots, and other team representatives as a member of our “street team”.
    • Other Duties as Assigned: Help with various game day or community event tasks, such as stadium set-up, managing performers (dancers, musicians, mascots, etc), assisting with customer needs, and overseeing activations like bouncy castles, promotional tables, etc.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • You’re friendly, outgoing, and full of energy, always ready to go the extra mile to create unforgettable experiences for fans at the ballpark!
    • You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, often chaotic environment and can handle whatever comes your way with professionalism.
    • You’re organized, can take direction, and have a strong work ethic. You’re creative and enjoy brainstorming fun, out-of-the-box ideas for theme nights and pop culture-inspired entertainment.
    • A little baseball knowledge is a bonus, but it’s not a dealbreaker!
    • You can represent the Riverhawks brand with positivity and professionalism, at the stadium, or in the community.
    • Availability for all 27 home games during the 2025 season is a must!
    • Please note: This role involves being on your feet for multiple hours, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The position will perform work in a stadium, office, and local community environment where noise/crowd levels greatly vary. The position is subject to varying temperatures and weather extremes.

    Internship Details:

    • Location: We’re looking for a student based in the Metro Edmonton area, as this role primarily involves work at RE/MAX Field.
    • Start Date: Early-Mid May (with preparation for the upcoming season). End Date: Early August (at the end of the baseball season).
