Introducing the Riverhawks

The Edmonton Riverhawks debuted in the West Coast League in 2022. The Hawks are the first team from Alberta in the WCL. The premier summer collegiate league in the west features other teams from BC, Washington and Oregon.

The Riverhawks are owned by 30 Edmontonians who have a passion for their community and are committed to using this great game and beautiful RE/MAX Field to build community. The Hawks have a 10 year lease on the ballpark, an iconic baseball facility that was home to the AAA Edmonton Trappers.

We acknowledge we are on Treaty 6 Territory ad we thank the Indigenous Peoples whose ancestors’ footsteps first marked this land thousands of years ago. They include the Cree, Dene, Stoney, Saulteaux and Blackfoot Peoples. This is also home to Metis Nation Region Four and a large community of Inuit. Plus, we have people who have come here from all over the world.

We all move forward together in our collective campaign to make Edmonton an even greater place to live, work and play!
